Okay so I like to thing I have a very firm grasp on Hispanic culture, the Spanish language, and South American geography and history. However, when it comes to Brazil I’m totally lost.

Because it’s so different from the rest of the continent I’ve always considered Brazil different or strange, I guess? I’d like to learn some basic Portuguese some day, though.
